Cork Centre for Architectural Education (CCAE)
Alan Macilwraith, project architect, will lead a tour of the CCAE- School of Architecture at Nano Nagle Place on the 5th of October 2019.
The Cork Centre for Architectural Education (CCAE) is a joint venture from UCC and CIT. Undergraduate and postgraduate students moved into the new purpose-designed school early summer.
The new state-of-the-art city centre building, mirrors the red brick facade of Nano Nagle Place and looks set to breathe even further life into the resurgent Douglas Street.
It facilitates 170 undergrad and postgrad students, as well as teaching and administrative staff during the academic year.
Designed by cork-based architects JCA Architects, the project team worked closely with CCAE staff throughout the development to meet the brief.
