We are delighted to host what we hope will be a wonderful evening of discussion centered on work that draws on architecture while moving beyond the scope of the traditional built environment. Our speakers include architects, John and James O’Donovan, who collaborated on the design of the Irish Pavilion for Venice 2014 and will discuss their experience of fusing the worlds of installation art, furniture design, street design and architecture in a collaborative context. Architecture graduates Becky Wallace and Ciana March of Concrete Collar, will also discuss their innovative exploration of fashion and architecture through photography that features the fashioned body captured in often overlooked settings of architectural interest. Following these contributions, there will be a conversation on the role and scope of architecture in shaping the built world and other aspects of art and life.
Location: Cork Vision Centre, St. Peter’s, North Main Street
