Sunday 2nd October 12.00-13.00
City Conservation Officer Pat Ruane will lead a tour showcasing the all-too-often overlooked industrial heritage of the city centre docklands, drawing particular attention to the Bonded Warehouses at Custom House Quay, the silos and the former railway infrastructure. We begin at Albert Quay, taking in views of the Bonded Warehouses as we walk towards Kennedy Quay where we will pass the R+H Hall and Odlums Flour Mill sites. From this point, we move back around to the city centre along Albert Road to Albert St. where we have the opportunity to take in a number of points of interest along the way. This is a family friendly event, however children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
Departure point: The Sextant, 1 Albert Street (junction of Albert Quay and Albert Street)
Guided by: Pat Ruane
